Visioline® VL 650 is the ideal and economic instrument to objectively analyze deeper lines and macro wrinkles such as "crow's feet" as well as the micro structure of the skin. Its measuring principle, illuminating Silflo® replica by oblique light is well-known (also under the name Quantirides®) and published in various studies. With its new, extremely sophisticated software, studying wrinkles and skin structure is now most easy, quick and reproducible.

  • Measurement Principle

    Visioline principleVisioline® - before and after treatmentVisioline® - Deep wrinkles and micro structure assessment The measurement is based on skin replica made of Silflo® (a well-known, white, non-glossy silicone material) illuminated in the Visioline® device by oblique lighting at an angle of 35°. The mountains in the replica representing the wrinkles of the skin produce measurable shadows. They are digitalized by a camera mounted vertically above the replica and serve as a basis for different arithmetical calculations (wrinkle depth in μm, -length in mm and -area in mm²).

     


     

  • The Software

    The new, modern software offers many new features and is intuitive to work with.

    Study manager: Visioline® Study manager

    • Create filters and settings to analyse all replicas of a study together.
    • Use predefined settings or create your own settings for depth, length and size categories for micro and macro structure directly on an example image and see their effect in different colors.

    Image Capturing:

    • Large live window.
    • Perfect placing of the replica against the light with a special “matching score”. For replica images of the following time points, a sophisticated "object overlay mask" achieves the highest reproducibility and comparability of results.
    • “Check replica” function available.

    Measurements:

    • Immediate automatic display of all results in different colours: wrinkle depth (μm), -length (mm), -size (mm²), results per category and overall image results.
    • Analyse single deep wrinkles in detail.
    • For micro structure characterization: The well-known  roughness indices R1-R5 for up to 100 lines arranged in vertical, horizontal or circular direction (in literature known as Ra-Rz), and virtual parameters for skin topography volume and unfolded surface in % are immediately available.

    Assessing skin micro & macro relief has been a most interesting subject to the cosmetic industry for decades.
    The Visioline® is a precise, easy to use, most economical tool for the R&D laboratories or the test institutes for formulation and efficacy testing of anti-wrinkle products, especially suitable for the large wrinkles as "crow's feet" or the naso-labial fold.
